Editions
Editioned artwork can be handled a couple of ways in Artwork Manager. Both options make the often cumbersome task of managing editions much more efficient.
Option One:
The Edition field can be used to indicate either the overall edition size, or the unique edition number for each item in gallery inventory. If the gallery owns multiple works from an edition, the Duplicate function quickly replicates an artwork record and allows you to update the unique data fields to each work in the edition.
Option Two:
When editioned artwork is available in multiple sizes/media formats, Inventory Line Items allows you to manage the various artwork iterations through a 'Parent' record. The Parent record holds the primary information about the artwork (artist name, title, description, images, etc...). The Inventory Line Items function allows you to define the data fields which are unique to each multiple, such as Media, Edition size/number, Dimensions, Price, Inventory Number, Costs, etc...
When Inventory Line Items are featured on your website, the Parent record is shown and near the bottom of the page the Line Item options appear indicating the various size/formats available.
